I THINK THIS MIGHT BE A VINTAGE LADIE'S SEWING IMPLEMENT, A MINIATURE AWL. IT WOULD COME IN HANDY TO REMOVE SEWN STITCHES OR OTHER USES IN SEWING. I MIGHT HAVE GUESSED WRONG ON IT'S USE BUT IT IS A VERY UNUSAL ITEM.  IT HAS A CASE, ON A CHAIN, AND THE FRONT SCREWS OFF TO SHOW THE TINY AWL. IT MEASURES APPROX. 2 1/4" IN LENGTH.  PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS.
