Victorian Velvet Covered Etui Necessaire Sewing Travel Case Purse...the ends of the tools and tops to the thread are mother of pearl..the case is original with silver tone latches, fancy hinges and handle...it opens on both sides...the case measures about 6” by 2 1/4” and its about 5” tall...the inside has leather holders and is covered with velvet and silk...the leather thread holders have wear...there are places for tools to be added where they could have been sewing or manicure type tools...the velvet covering has wear and much of the nap to the velvet missing and worn through areas...the perfume bottles are etched on the sides...one of them has a chip on the rim and the stopper has been broken and glued...it has the original gold gilt stamped label on the bottom of the case...all of its issues only add to its victorian charm...from the mid to late 1800’s...a wonderful antique Etui Necessaire travel case!
