  • Condition: This is a family heirloom that needs a new home. We have loved it and stored it carefully for several generations and decades. Each of the bodkins are signed sterling and have the Simon Brothers hallmark (a stylized S inside a shield shape. They are heavily tarnished since they haven't been polished in about 80-100 years. I would love for this set to go to someone who would truly appreciate it. The set has 4 needles as well. There is also a fabric holder/sleeve in which a bone ivory or celluloid needle /threader is stored. See photos. I do not know if it is celluloid or bone ivory. The heart shaped container is a faded red silk with red ribbon. The red ribbon laces through the interior to hold the bodkins. One side of the red ribbon tie is almost cut through as shown in photo.
