    Description

    A SWEDISH BEAUTY
Sweden was the first country in Europe to issue paper money. This 14 Shilling banknote is a prime example of an early Swedish currency issue. It was authorized by Royal Decree of 1754, as inscribed at the bottom, and issued in 1804!
The note is printed on sturdy vellum-like paper that is watermarked EMYNDS SEDEL and KOPPAR SKILLJE. "Koppar" indicates that it was payable in copper!
100% uncancelled and hand signed, this
    Swedish Beauty
remains in very clean and choice condition between Very Fine and Extra Fine, which is pretty remarkable considering its size (over 6" high) and age of almost 220 years.
