This card was purchased in Amsterdam, Netherlands by my friend, Lotje. She scours all the great cities of Europe for unusual and beautiful vintage and antique postcards.
This postcard was shipped from The Netherlands to the USA by Lotje.
On the front of this beautiful vintage postcard is a sepia portrait of a little girl having a tea party with a bunch of Smooth Fox or Jack RussellTerrier puppies. Steam is rising from her cup of tea.
Under the portrait is a caption in Dutch that translates to:   "
Too Hot
".   On the back is some handwriting in Dutch, an address in the Netherlands, and a Netherlands 2 & 1/2 cent stamp that was first issued in 1899.  The postcard was originally made in the Netherlands.   My guess is that this postcard dates back to the early 1900s.
Measurements are approximately: 3.5" x 5.5" so this is a standard size postcard.   Aside from very few small signs of surface wear, this card is still easy to see and appreciate!
