This card was purchased in London, England by my friend, Lotje. She scours all the great cities of Europe for unusual and beautiful vintage and antique postcards.
This postcard was shipped from The Netherlands to the USA by Lotje.
On the front is the remains of a rare Victorian trade card.   Someone has cut away the the text from the business that was doing the advertising.   What remains is the portrait of a little girl who is trying not to share her breakfast with a Terrier.    A small child's impulse not to share is timeless.  This card was preserved in a scrapbook.  On the back is the remains of another card that showed a lady and two Cows as shown above.
This card dates back to the 1880s in England.
Measurements are approximately: 3.25" x 5.5".   Aside from several signs of surface wear, this very old card is still easy to see and appreciate!
