This pen functions by sliding the "bolt" at the rear of the pen forward and then up to the locked position.
This is a brand new exceptional feature that adds a different look and works as easily as any other push button or click style pen.
The back of the pen has a rubber tip that works on all capacitive touch screen devices such as a Smartphone or Tablet. The stylus is very durable and protects your device from any scratches and smudges. As you can see in the last photo of this item the stylus tip end can easily be replaced with a regular end cap instead. The pen will come with both end pieces so you can choose for yourself which one you like better.
A detailed instruction sheet is sent with each pen so you can see how it works as well as how to change the end cap and how to replace the ink cartridge.
The wood used for turning this pen is one of the rarest in the world, AMBOYNA BURL, and is primarily grown in Borneo.  Each "eye" of the burl could have grown into a tree branch, which causes the grain to grow in many directions at the same time. A burl typically also has bark inclusions and voids, making the wood difficult to turn. During the turning process, natural flaws such as dark lines, natural voids, knots, worm holes, insect art, etc., are revealed and add to the uniqueness and beauty of the piece. I use the Super Glue (CA Glue) finish for all of my pens. This type of finish is extremely durable and will help keep your pen safe from water, oil and the rigors of daily use. It takes a little longer to use this finishing method, and costs a little more as well. However the finish is very similar to an acrylic, and will last the life of the pen with no problems.
