    Description

    A nineteenth century brass novelty tape measure in the form of a donkey.
    This endearing little donkey figure has large pricked ears and a very sweet face.
    The body is finely moulded with a fur mane and a finely detailed face.
    The tape retraction mechanism works well and is activated by the turning of his tail.
    A very unusual piece and a fine addition to any Victorian sewing collection.
    Height just over 2 1/4 ins.
