lower timing chain for the 1967.5 - 1970 Datsun 2000 (SRL311 with the U20 engine).
The part numbers for these chains are listed specifically for the Datsun Roadsters
and the chains are made in either the

S
A
or Japan.
Do you really want to have to tear your engine back down to check for damage and to replace a chain of unknown quality made who knows where?
Please note that some of the chains may have a heavy grease put there by the manufacturer to prevent rusting during storage.  The coloration of the timing links or the lack thereof and / or the markings on the chains may differ slightly from the photo even though they are the same brand (the manufacturer produces parts from multiple locations worldwide).
If you need just the lower timing chain for the G15 / R16 engines, that chain is available by itself, just contact us.
If you're going to be tearing into the engine, you should really replace the chains too. Anyone,
myself included
, knows what happens when the timing chains break and it's not pretty ("Evil L, broken chain, hole in cam cover etc.)!  If you don't need these now, at this price, you might still want to pick them up because these continuous link chains are getting harder to find.
Check around, it's a pretty good deal!
Be careful about using a timing chain with a master clip; if you do, make sure you install the master clip in the correct direction (closed end in the direction of chain travel)!  It has also been suggested to use a drop of RTV on the master clip when installing it as added insurance from it coming loose.
A new U-20 upper chain guide, not included in this auction
