Up for sale are one timing chain kit for the 1967.5 - 1970 Datsun 2000 (SRL311 with the U-20 engine) which includes the following:
a newer production OEM Nissan upper chain guide, one

lower timing chain .
The part numbers for these chains is listed specifically for the Datsun Roadsters
and the chains are made in either the

or Japan.
Do you really want to have to tear your engine back down to check for damage and to replace a chain of unknown quality made who knows where?

If you're going to be tearing into the engine, you should really replace the chains too. Anyone,
myself included
, knows what happens when the timing chains break and it's not pretty ("Evil L, broken chain, hole in cam cover etc.)!  If you don't need these now, at this price, you might still want to pick them up because the chains are getting harder to find.
Check around, it's a pretty good deal!
Be careful about buying a timing chain with a master clip; if not installed properly, they can come apart during use with disastrous results - Continuous link chains are the best way to go!
These are distributed by a major distributor of aftermarket parts worldwide that has been in business for over 50 years.  The coloration of, the timing links or the lack thereof and / or the markings on the chains may differ slightly from the photo even though it is the same brand (the manufacturer produces parts from multiple locations worldwide).  If you're looking for just the lower chain used in the G15 or R16 engine, see my other ebay listing (301068041063).
