Description
An amazing find at an estate sale. Patented DEC 1860, was it used to cut the buttonholes on Grant's (blue) or Lee's (grey) uniforms? It's not talking, suppose we'll never know. Quite possibly from a Great Great Grandma's sewing stash, or from General Grant's tailor's essential tools. Doesn't appear to have had a lot of use, exceptional condition, sew. . . great. Measures 6 1/2" x 3 1/2". Thanks for looking.
