CANHAM ANTIQUE ANTI BACKACHE - FLOOR STANDING HEMMING GAUGE STEEL & CAST IRON

This listing is for a vintage antique cast iron & steel floor standing hemming gauge.    This sewing tool was made by Victor H. Canham & Company of Buffalo, New York.   It was sold as the Anti-Backache Hemming Gauge.   It has a cast iron foot, with steel extending bands for hemming.  It measures 12-3/4" in total length; and base measures 4-7/8" x 2-1/4".   It has a total extension of 10" in height.    It does not show any patent information.   This is a used antique sewing tool.   It shows age and use wear, and needs some cleaning.  It shows some spots of surface oxidation, with loss of plating.     There are no bends, cracks, breaks, repairs, batters, welds,  or off odors.    Please refer to "Condition" above, and photographs for more information.
