This auction is for what we believe to be large antique iron tailor’s fabric scissors. The scissors have a manufacturer’s mark that is very hard to make out, although it appears that it may read BOKER & CO. We are not sure of it though, nor are we sure how old the scissors are. Our best guess would be that they date back to the mid to late 1800s. The scissors appear to be made out of iron and were possibly hand forged, although again we are not certain. The scissors are fairly large measuring roughly 12 3/4" in length from end to end. They weigh roughly 1 lb 2 oz. The scissors are in working order although they could probably use some oil as they do stick a little. The scissors have aging, discoloration, scratches, scuffs, nicks, dings, rust, pitting, manufacturing imperfections, dirty and/or stained areas, chipping to the cutting edges, and dented tips (see pictures).
