Antique Tape Measure Alarm Clock/ Red Celluloid / Germany Circa 1940

Antique tape measure in the form of alarm clock.
Germany, circa 1940.
This pretty and unusual tape measure is ALMOST in a very good working condition.
When you pull out the tape, the clock will run.
And when you leave the tape, it will retract.
The red celluloid has some discoloration on the back and on the side ( please see photos ), and a little bit lifted next to the tape.
Stamped “ Germany “ on the bell ( please see photos ).
The cloth tape is graduated in inches on one side and in cm on the other side.
Some rust and oxidation due to age.
H : 3/4 inches ( 2 cm )
Diameter at the base :1 3/4 inches ( 4 cm )
Diameter at the top : 1 1/4 inches ( 3 cm )
