Antique Sterling Sewing Hem Gauge Ruler Pat 1894 Elegant and Excellent Condition

For sale is this lovely and elegant sterling hem gauge from 1894.  The repousse flowers are beautiful and the sliding mechanism works perfectly.  There is a loop on the end that so the user could hang it from a chain around her neck.
What a wonderful piece of history!  This would make a great gift for the seamstress in your life.
