ANTIQUE MOP SCISSORS UNUSUAL DAGGER FORM FIGURAL ERN SOLINGEN GERMANY SEWING DESK
Item Description:
Here's an unusual pair of metal scissors, in the form of a dagger. The handles have Mother of Pearl (MOP) accents. They're substantial, solid scissors; the decoration and form give them a refined look also. They're marked ERN Germany on one side, and the word Solingen on the other side, along with a mark that's hard to make out, but possibly UR-BAN (Solingen is the city in Germany  renowned for their knives & cutlery). They look great and cut well. A great addition to your antique sewing or scissors collection.
Condition:
Very good, used antique condition.
The blades are sharp and tight and they cut well. T
here are some spots of wear to the finish, and the screw holding the blades together shows some signs of wear. (see photos).
