Embossed “Three Feet In One Shoe” On The Front
This Great Little Measuring Tape Is Part Of A Series Of Metal Tape Measures C. 1880-1890 Made In Germany
The Other Tapes Include A Turtle, Embossed With The Words "Pull My Head Not My Leg" And A Straw Boater's Hat, Embossed "Most Hats Cover The Head This Covers The Feet.” This Detailed Shoe Reads, "Three Feet In One Shoe" In Raised Letters
Front Is Made Of Brass Or Bronze
Back Side Is Flat Metal
It Measures Approx. 2 3/8" Long X 1 1/2" Tall
The Tape Is Fabric Marked In Inches On One Side
Very Good Antique Condition. The Tape Is In As Found Condition With What I Consider To Be A Nice Patina Which I Have Not Cleaned
The Spring Loaded Tape Pulls Out Easily And Retracts But The Last Couple Of Inches May Need Assistance – When That Happens Tapping On The Back Or Bottom Will Help The Tape Retract
The Pull Tab Is Original To This Tape
No Cracks Or Repairs. Seams Are As Made And Not Repaired Or Cracked.
