Antique crochet hook, crochet beading hook, Bone, made by The Millward's company England.  This minute beautifully crafted tool is from my grandmother's needlework school in Manhattan, LaMer's Studio, see photos,1909- 1967. She taught women, mostly from European countries to do expert repair of textiles, as well as create one of a kind beaded dresses, bags and shoes. During the depression she had a thriving business catering to the wealthy Manhattan clientele who were always in need of new dresses and beaded accessories. Wrapped Paper Label says Millward .13 and embossed Made in England. * I believe this is bone perhaps vegetable ivory, it does have a grain upon looking closely. The size #13 is very very tiny and delicate for the most delicate of threads.
