Antique Brass Dagger Scissors & Letter Opener Set
Germany * Circa 1900s
This set of dagger shaped brass handled scissors and the matching wood and brass handled letter knife would be a great addition to a gentleman's desk. They are very useful and appropriately dangerous looking. The scissors have steel blades and are beautifully engineered. They have tight blades and cut perfectly to the tips
. The letter opener is pretty sharp and would slice through an envelope without endangering the user. It's nice steel though and would hold a fine edge if so desired.
Both pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, nicks, dents or other damage.
The scissors measure 6 3/8" long and the letter knife is 7 3/4" long. Both pieces have a square opening on one side of the hilt so that they could also be hung.
