Antique 19th C Leather & Brass Scissor Box Only

Description

This is an antique 19th century leather and brass scissor box. There is no scissor.
I can’t be certain, but I would estimate it dates circa 1880s or 1890s.
The box measures 10 5/8 inches wide x 3 3/8 inches long x 1 1/4 inches high, not including the handle (27 cm x 8.6 cm x 3.2 cm). It measures approximately 2 1/4 inches high when extended (5.7 cm). It will hold a scissor measuring 7 1/4 inches long (18.4 cm).
The box has age related wear to it including worn leather, discoloration, scratches and scuff marks. It extends to make it taller, and the short side on the left, when looking at the photos, is torn open. The brass has scattered tarnishing and general wear. The interior of the box is lightly worn.
It weighs 11 ounces (308 g).
