1800s ANTIQUE 8" DRESSMAKER SCISSORS SHEARS CROWN & MAKER IMPRINT ORIG AGE NOTE

Here is a VERY COOL pair of ANTIQUE DRESSMAKER SCISSORS ~ SHEARS FROM THE 1800s WITH A PERSONAL NOTE REFLECTING THE AGE TO BE INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION!
These have very visible patina and are TESTED AND SUPER SHARP! We have shown EVERY ANGLE POSSIBLE of these shears, so please SEE ALL PHOTOS. We have covered the name of the original owner, and author of the note, but the original note WILL BE INCLUDED to date these antique scissors/shears for you!
They are 8" in length and measure 8" when fully opened. They operate just fine and have only age related wear from being an estimated age of approximately 140 YEARS OLD.
If you collect antique shears and scissors, these are a great addition to your collection! I'm not Edward Scissorhands, so not a scissor expert, but research shows these are likely made of STEEL. They are very heavy, and on our scales weigh in at over 1,700 grams. They have a maker mark as shown in the photos, and a very visible CROWN IMPRINT. There are more imprints, which we are unable to make out, even under a loupe, but hopefully the new owner can distinguish it. The BOTTOM mark DOES look like SHEFFIELD, but the "D" is worn down and hard to see. There are MORE LETTERS, AS SHOWN.
AGAIN, PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS AS THEY ARE PART OF THIS DESCRIPTION. We are selling these as is, as found, and did not attempt to clean them in any way, since most antique pickers prefer the patina be left visible. These are VERY STURDY and WORK JUST FINE!
